LAHORE: (Wednesday, October 23, 2024): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali has constituted a high-level committee under the chairmanship of Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood for a transparent investigation of the clash between security guards and students. In this regard, a notification has been issued by Registrar Dr Ahmed Islam late on Tuesday. The investigation committee also includes four senior deans who will also be able to take the help of law enforcement agencies. PU VC Dr Muhammad Ali instructed the committee to determine the elements responsible for the incident within three days. He also directed the committee to ensure impartial and transparent investigation. The VC said that strict action will be taken without discrimination in the light of the committee’s recommendations. He said that elements that attempt to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the campus will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
