Lahore, February 15, 2026 — The IMMG–PU Alumni Meetup 2026 was successfully held on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at the Institute of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of the Punjab, drawing a large number of distinguished and prominent alumni from diverse professional backgrounds.

The event was organized under the auspices of the IMMG Alumni Association and Punjab University Alumni Office (PUAO) and aimed at strengthening alumni engagement, fostering professional networking, and reinforcing the bond between alumni and their alma mater.

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Anjum Nasim Sabri, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences, who highlighted the vital role of alumni in advancing academic excellence, research culture, and institutional reputation. The Director IMMG, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Faisal, also addressed the gathering and emphasized collaborative initiatives between alumni and the institute.

The Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Shahida Hasnain, Founding Director of IMMG, shared reflections on the institute’s journey and expressed pride in the achievements of its alumni across academia, industry, and research sectors.

The audience was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Imran Sajid, Faculty Coordinator of the IMMG Alumni Association, who underscored the importance of sustained alumni–institute linkages, mentorship, and continuity of such gatherings. The President of the IMMG Alumni Association, Dr. Hasnain Javed, highlighted the association’s vision and future plans for meaningful alumni engagement.

The meetup featured interactive networking sessions, a panel discussion, and fun activities, providing alumni with an opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues, exchange professional experiences, and explore avenues for collaboration. Participants expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the well-organized event.
